Best Practice
The state of Virginia has a new requirement effective January 1, 2020 for all hourly paid staff that will apply to ALL workers effective July 1, 2020.
RDA has created two new reports.
Set Reported Hours- Allows our customers to enter in set default hours for Salaried Employees.
Reported Hours Statement -Shows the reports hours and earnings that can be sent to an employee upon request
Set Reported Hours
This report will populate the Reported Hours field in the Payroll Job Pay Master from records in the Job Pay Rate Master using three methods: the Units, the Default Hours entered on the range screen or the Units multiplied by a Factor that is specified on the range screen. This process uses process exceptions screens that will allow for changes to be made to the Reported Hour calculations. A report will be produced to show the employee(s) and hours about to be written to the Job Pay Master(s). If this is correct, the second part of the report should be run to write the Reported Hours to the database.
- This new report is located in HR → Payroll → Conclude Tab → Set Reported Hours
Reported Hours Statement
This report will show Reported Hours and earnings from the Payroll Job Pay Master.
- This new report is located in HR → Payroll →Reports → General Payroll Info → Reported Hours Statement
The new Reported Hours field can be found in the Job Pay Master Maintain Screen
