HeaderFor certain Financial Management reports, when allowing sorting by dimension or parts of a dimension (ex. The first two characters of a dimension), set this flag to true
DescriptionA unique description for the dimension being created
Opt. = Optional  Rec. = Recommended  Req. = Required


  • Use the Chart of Accounts to record dimension descriptions and values for your expenditure, revenue and balance sheet account codes.
  • The system (OpenRDA) uses this information to provide accounts and descriptions when printing certain reports. This results in reports being easier to read.


Steps to Adding a Dimension


  1. Choose the account type and definition type that the dimension will be added too.
  2. Choose the dimension type (FD, PJT, etc.) that will be created.
  3. Create a name or number (usually a number) that will be added to the dimension list.
  4. Set the Active flag to true to allow the dimension to be chosen while adding an account code through the Chart of Accounts in the future.
  5. Create a unique description for the dimension being created.
  6. Click Save.
  7. This dimension will now be available if you choose to add a new account code through the Chart of Accounts in the future.


Print


  • This report lists the dimensions, names and descriptions for the three account types.
  • Each account type will also display the structure for the account masters.
