What This Process Does
- This process allows you to change/set the reference type on an expenditure account in mass.
Best Practices
- This allows you to group expenditure accounts by type.
- The following reports allow you to sort and total by reference type:
- Financial Management:
- Combined Report By Reference Type
- Combined Budget Report with Amendments
- Budget Preparation:
- Budget Report By Reference Type
- There are other reports in Financial Management which allow you to range based on reference type.
Requirements
- Existing Setting - The reference type you are changing/setting must exist. To set up reference types, the menu path is: Financial Management → Setup → Reference Types → Expenditure → Reference Master
Set/Change Expenditure Reference
- Setup → Reference Types → Expenditure → Set/Change Expenditure Reference
- Use the drop down menu to indicate which Reference Type you are changing to.
- Range on the dimensions that display. This will be based on your account code structure.
- Click the Select (Process wheel) to run this process.
