What This Process Does


  • This process allows you to change/set the reference type on an revenue account in mass.


Best Practices


  • This allows you to group revenue accounts by type.
  • The following reports allow you to sort and total by reference type:
    • Financial Management:
      1. Combined Report By Reference Type
      2. Combined Budget Report with Amendments
    • Budget Preparation:
      1. Budget Report By Reference Type


  • There are other reports in Financial Management which allow you to range based on reference type.


Requirements


  • Existing Setting - The reference type you are changing/setting must exist. To set up reference types, the menu path is: Financial Management → Setup → Reference Types → Revenue → Reference Master


Set/Change Revenue Reference

  1. Setup → Reference Types → Revenue → Set/Change Revenue Reference
  2. Use the drop down menu to indicate which Reference Type you are changing to.
  3. Range on the dimensions that display. This will be based on your account code structure.
  4. Click the Select (Process wheel) to run this process.

Range on Reference TypeThis field can be left blank or the reference type can be entered here that has already been assigned
Range on FundThe fund number for the expenditure accounts
Range on Account ManagerThe Account Manager you want to associate with a particular reference ID
