RDA will need to set System Parameter ID 282 to True to enable QR codes for Step 2.
1) All users will need to download the Google Authenticator app on their phone (iphone or android) or add the Authenticator extension to their browser (Chrome/Firefox).
2) All Users will need to do steps below:
- Navigate to the Administration Dashboard > Security > Users
- Find and select your User
- Right click the User and select Generate Secret Key
- Click Confirm. You should see a QR code. If you don't, check your browser for a blocked pop-up. If the pop-up is blocked, enable the pop-up. You may need to re-generate the Secret Key which will display the QR code. If not, wait for the loading screen to finish
- You'll see a QR code
- Open the Google Authenticator App on the user's smartphone or browser (Chrome/Firefox)
- Click the button with the plus sign on it
- Click the Scan a QR code
- In the above mode scan the QR code - this will create the entry in the Authenticator app or browser extension
3) Once ALL USERS have done the above 2 Steps, you are ready to update the System Parameters to activate the 2-Factor Authentication upon login. Note: Any User that hasn't performed the above steps will not be able to log in after the 2-Factor Authentication System Parameters have been changed.
RDA Customer Support representative will change System Parameter IDs 280 and 284 to True
The next time the User logs into the system, they will be asked for the MFA code
