A Job will need to be set up for each module (Personal Property Summary, Real Estate, etc) that you want monthly Interest to start running for after Statements have become past due. For example, if the Statements due date is 12/05, then a Job(s) will need to be set up so that the system will compute Interest charges once per month going forward. The Job will have a start date which should be the first date you want Interest to be run. The time of the Start Date must not conflict with the time of a Job that is already scheduled.
- To set up a Job, go to the Admin Dashboard
- click the Run Jobs menu option
- click Schedule Compute Job
- set the Tax Year dropdown to the Tax Year of the most recent Statements
- click the magnifying glass next to Compute Group
- type Interest
- select one of the options
- check the Verify Charges box True
- in the Comment field, type the name of the Compute Group, plus any notes you want. This Comment will be displayed as the description of the Job in the table of Jobs
- click the calendar icon next to the Start Date field
- select the first day that you want the Interest job to run. The time you select here will be the time of day the system kicks off the Interest compute process each month going forward. Be sure this time doesn't conflict with the time of other Jobs. Review the Scheduled Jobs TV to see when the other Jobs are scheduled to run each month.
- set the End Date to 10 years from today
- in the Repeat Day Of Month field, put the day of the month when you want the Job to run (for example, 1 would be the 1st day of the month, 2 would be the 2nd day of the month). Refrain from entering 30 or 31 because Feb does not have 30 or 31 days. If you want Interest to run at the end of each month, put 1, and the interest will run between midnight and 1am on the 1st day of the month, before the start of business. This is essentially the same as running Interest at the "end of the month"
- click Schedule Compute to finalize the job
Note: At this time, the system does not allow edits to a Job. If you need to make a change to a Job, you will need to Cancel the Job from the table, and then recreate the Job.
