Configuring Authentication with Google for OpenRDA 4.0


OpenRDA 4.0 allows for user authentication with Google. This document covers the steps required to configure a user in OpenRDA 4.0 for use of authentication with Google. To authenticate with Google a user will need a Gmail email address and the Gmail email address will need to be assigned to the user in question in OpenRDA 4.0.


To assign an email address to a user:


  1. Select a module (e.g. HR / Workforce > Personnel)

  2. At page bottom select System Administration.

  3. On the pop up select Security.

  4. At page left select User Profiles

  5. On the User Profiles Browse page find and select the user in question. 

  6. On the pop up enter the gmail address the user will use for authentication into the Email field and click Save.


Having followed the above steps the user should now be able to authenticate using Google authentication for accessing OpenRDA 4.0.
